After (or during) the game

Now the football doesn't really interest me. Though I'm happy the crows lost on the weekend because now everyone can just shutup about it. There was an interesting bit of TV on Saturday night though. C & I were waiting for some choice English drama to start on the ABC and had Channel 9's funny video show, which I quite enjoy, just to laugh and stupid, fat and old (sometimes all three) people falling over or setting themselves alight. A news update came on. We had been entertaining all day, so had missed the 6pm bulletin. Georgina told us that in a disappointing afternoon for crows fans, the Adelaide-based team had lost to West Coast. There was some footage of Mark Ricciuto (sp?) walking off the field (looking all forlorn) and also of a crowd in a pub (could have been The Alma) cheering at what was probably the Crows scoring a goal. But we were never told the final score, or even a winning margin; only that the Crows had lost. I suspect the update wasn't an update at all but was just a pre-recorded prediction of one possible outcome. It looks like the resourceful people at Ch9 have recorded two "updates": one in case they won, another in case they lost. I wonder if they did a third, in case it was a draw.
