Waking up

I've decdide I'm tired of being tired. Which reminds me of what a great band the HoodooGurus were, but that's beside the point. Yesterday I realised that even though the lack of sleep is a bitch, I'm just going to wake up and be a bit happier, and not be just so... y'know... tired all the time. It's just so tiring. I went out at lunch yesterday and bought a new book at Borders (actually just broke into the gift card I got at Xmas, still got lots of credit though) and I intend to read that on the train every morning and night, rather than falling asleep with my face in a Sudoku puzzle (I still have no idea if I'm spelling that properly but now that I've worked them out and am bored by them, I won't be doing them anymore. It didn't take long). The only time I won't be reading on the train is when I'm gazing lovingly at the sunset. Now that the days are getting longer again (yeah, I know, I know.. it's the amount of daylight, not the days), we get the most spectacular views going up the hill on the train. It's just sublime really. Something poignant about all those tired people wishing they were home and this brilliant show of nature going almost unnoticed; I'm sure it's an excellent metaphor for something. (Speaking of the train, I updated the Wikipedia entry on the Belair line to include all the disused stations. What fun!) Having said all that, I do reserve the right to be grumpy for 30 minutes tomorrow (read: weekend), when Little Miss L wakes up at 5:30 and demands that I go in the lounge with her and watch Noddy videos. But I promise to be fine after a nice cup of tea.
