I've never really indulged in one of these meme thingies (obviously preferring to come up with my own stellar original subject matter) but at the special request of Bruce, I shall now jump on the current bandwagon I shall redub "Selective information based on my collection of legal (or otherwise) digitally stored music and my history as a consumer, and therefore listener, of music and music-related products." (Catchy, huh?) Total Volume of music files on my computer: 1063 songs; 65:16:00; 3.80GB. That's just at work The last CD I Bought Was: From a Basement on a Hill - Elliot Smith The last Songs I bought at iTunes were: iWhat? Song playing right now: Apparently 'Yesterday' by the Beatles is always playing on a radio station somewhere in the world. I can only hear the constant hum of my PC. Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me:
  • Fast as you can - Fiona Apple. (Love the voice, attitude, eyes)
  • She's a jar - Wilco
  • La Mer - Charles Trenet. (Ahh, memories of France)
  • Cocaine Blues - Dave Van Ronk. (Not that I actually listen to it; I lost my only audio cassette copy. I just hear it a lot because it's the first thing I habitually play when I pick up a guitar)
  • Don't back down - St. Etienne (I'm just really into the Sound of Water album right now love Sarah Cracknell's accent in those speaky bits. And cos I remember being ouside the Odeon (in Richmond) with rain pouring down, only I didn't have the benefit of a car to catch the raindrops. Or an umbrella for that matter. Or a hat)
First concert I ever attended: Pseudo Echo, Irymple Community Leisure Centre, 1985? 86? Pass to: Um, I don't actually know any other people. I just do this to amuse myself. Can someone on The Adelaide Index pick it up?
