Rash Decision

I'd just like to point out that those supermarket-brand razor blades, while very cheap, are cheap for a reason. A very blunt, dull, itchy, rashy, hacking-away-at-your-face, use-once-and-throw-away reason. In fact, I'm toying with the idea of having a shave at the barber next time I go for a haircut. Has anyone out there done this? Is it to be recommended, or should I just perhaps spend the money on buying the right blades?
