ready to face monday

Well that was a lovely weekend. Or at least yesterday was. Most of Saturday was taken up with domestic duties and I cleaned the oven with a tinge of sadness knowing that I was never going to use it for cooking storing dirty frypans ever again. (We just bought a house and will be moving in less than a month.) But yesterday afternoon we managed to get down to Henley beach at around 6pm. There was a stiff sou-wester but the water was as warm as a tepid bath. C sat and tried to control the pages of the Weekend Oz magazine in the breeze while I splashed around with little miss L and chased her all over the beach. We drove to Brighton to get fish & chips (from that fish & chip shop on the corner) then sat in the park as the sun went down. It was lovely. Then we got home, had a cup of tea, some peaches and frozen yoghurt, and flicked on the telly to see Lleyton losing the tennis, which rounded off the weekend rather nicely.
