G-pod

Don't even think about asking how busy I've been recently because you wouldn't believe me if I sat you down and explained it to you in a very longwinded and detailed manner. Needless to say that when work and family concerns are at the fore, keeping my four semi-regular readers up to date kind of drops down the list of priorities somewhat. So any witty social comment for today will be limited to the recent observation I have made, that although ipods are supposedly the best thing since, well I suppose the Walkman, I think those white headphones look completely gay. Not in a homosexual way but in a totally naff kind of pretentious look-at-me,-I'm-not-listening-to-music,-I'm-using-an-ipod kind of way. It's just attention seeking conspicuousness. Don't these people realise they're doing exactly what the Apple marketing people want them to do? They're not listening to music, they're just promoting a brand! I prefer to keep my personal audio device hidden in my satchel/backpack/manbag. Only the remote control can give away that it's a minidisc player. Although if people who see me are 'brand-aware' they'll know it's not a minidisc player. It's a Sony™
