Cuppa

I just thought I'd mention how much I love tea. I love it piping hot. I always put really hot water in the cup before pouring in the tea, so the cup is hot and therefore when the tea goes in, it stays hotter than it would if you didn't warm the cup first. If it weren't for the fact that I'd scald the inside of my mouth completely, I'd drink a whole cup of tea in one go. I just love the taste of it as it goes down my throat. Sure, you can wait till it cools down and then drink it in one go but it just doesn't taste the same as when it's piping hot. I like it from a brewed pot but equally I like it from a basic teabag. Earl Grey is probably my favorite but most of the time I just drink one of the really common brands. I do like a nice English Breakfast though. Recently I've been dabbling with green tea, which is apparently quite good for you (loaded with antioxidants so I hear). I bought some Earl Grey Green Tea (green tea flavoured with bergamot) and I thought 'Wow, best of both worlds here,' but alas, the fallacy of composition bit me on the ass again and it's actually not that nice at all. The thing with some green tea is that it can have that tannin kind of taste but I tried one at work the other day which wasn't like that at all. Good work! I also like the tea you get at that Malaysian place in the Central Markets. We asked what it was a while ago and it turns out it's Oolong tea that you can buy at the Chinese supermarket for about $1.50 a box, which lasts about a year. I've also tried the TBar stuff on and off. It all seems a bit gimmicky though. The only time I try something other than regular tea is when I get a cold, then I buy myself some camomile and that's about all I drink. It helps reduce phlegm, you know. I love the word phlegm. It's just so counter-intuitive.
