Cuppa II

When I started work in this building they had just cleared the site next door to build a new hotel/apartment block. Yesterday, 2 years and 5 days after I started here, the last piece of the puzzle was put in place when the coffee shop attached to the foyer opened. It's a franchise of this company which hails from WA. So I go in, look up at the price list, try to justify spending $2.80 on a long black but figure I should give the place a try. I place my order and the girl says:
$3.20 please. But it says $2.80 up there Oh, but the take-away comes in a bigger size Yeah but the price list says $2.80, I have $2.80 here; I'd like one of those ones please.
She goes and adjusts what she just rang up on the till and takes my $2.80. I stood and waited quite a while. A girl came and spoke to the woman waiting next to me and asked her to wait longer. Then she came back a minute or two later, gave her money back and asked her to wait longer again. Finally they brought her coffee and she asked "Does it normally take this long? Because I can't wait this long...". The girl said "it's only our 2nd day so we're still sorting things out." I finally got my coffee. I came next door, sat at my desk and took a sip and it was freaking scalding. The inside of my lip and the tip of my tongue still hurt. I'm sure I could sue them for that. Anyway, the coffee tasted average. Not as strong as the cafe on the other side of my building (where it's much, much too strong) but I think they burnt the coffee. It was passable. I give them a 5. I'll try them again next week. If they haven't improved, I just won't go back. At the moment the only thing they have over the other place is the waffle cup, which I like because it stops the scalding coffee burning my fingers. Hudson, take note.
