To the grind

Back at work now. No longer lazing by the pool in the equatorial sun; now it's florescent tubes and the warm glow of a 17" VDU. The wedding was great but don't take my word for it, Bruce gave it a lovely rap. I was bound to have a good time on account of it being my wedding but it's nice to hear one of the interstate guests found the trip worth it, despite whatever accommodation they had to settle for at the last minute. While I'm here, I still maintain that Jolley's Boathouse can be described as being 'a stone's throw' from the Adelaide Oval. Sure, probably not from the cricket pitch, maybe not from the Victor Richardson Gates. But I think if you stood at the end of the King William Street car park and lobbed a squashball-sized rock over the bridge, you'd at least make a splash in the Torrens right outside the restaurant. The secret to finding the place is knowing which direction one must throw the stone.
